The CEO of my local chamber asked me to put together a program to help small businesses in the community.
This is the letter he wrote afterward:
If you need a speaker, I recommend Jerry Fletcher whole heartedly.
When we first met, he told me he was a professional speaker.
Now I know what that means.
Last fall he presented just part of his “Who Do You Trust” keynote and got the membership buzzing. No podium. No notes. He just stepped into the middle of the room and delivered his powerful story with a sincerity that touched everyone. And then he gave everyone a copy of his book “Gathering Wisdom.”
Since his consulting firm works with small and mid-sized businesses I asked him to develop a program to help build and retain membership.
He responded with “Marketing Without Money”
This paid, half-day lunch and learn seminar did a number of things for us:
• It packed the room and got rave reviews
• The advice was powerful. It changed how some members do business.
• He found a way to make them laugh and learn in these tough times.
• The seminar got us some new members.
• It brought a few former members back.
• It convinced our board that we had found a new emcee and auctioneer for our major annual fund raising event.
This guy knows his stuff and how to motivate people. He is a joy to work with. He provides all the promotional materials you need in digital form and is willing to do audio or video as well to make sure you have a good turnout.
Most chambers prefer not to do paid events or pay speaker fees. Jerry was worth every penny twice over. This event was so successful we scheduled him again in the spring and have asked him to hold a date for us in the fall.
Yes, I recommend the Networking Ninja and I’ll take your phone call to answer your questions.
Sincerely,
Steve Gilmore
